Hello my fellow readers, if you still are reading that is. Due to my absence this blog has simply lost it's purpose. I really don't know what happened, I just lost interest in writing daily. I still am involved in politics, but not as much as before. I believe that the school life has taken away my ability to explore the outer news. I apologize and maybe I'll return when I'm older and I finally give up my immature child-like ways. I just don't feel like worrying about things all the time, I would like a time where things would be carefree. I'm a Junior now, still at 15, but going strong in schooling. I do have social activities I engage in quite often, but I will always work hard in school. I still debate among my friends, but they're as stubborn as I am. There are times when they do agree with me. In order to be a great change, we must take baby steps. In time maybe some teenagers can be aware of what our country is going through and what it has already been through.

Thank you if you still do care about my opinions and thoughts, it does help me for the near future. I have convinced a few of these hardcore liberals in order to do what's right. Most of the teenage student body gather false information from the media. Half of them couldn't answer me when I asked them, "Why do you think President Bush is a bad president?" And when they didn't exactly give me reasons. I fear that media is gaining control of a lot of things, but there are people out there. Ones from my generation, that actually care. They can think for themselves and know the difference between good or bad morals.

With this short post, I bid you all adue and I greatly appreciated your comments.

To everyone who was concerned, I did leave for an extremely long time. I guess I lost interest in writing daily. I've been very busy with social activities and schoolwork. I really do enjoy discussing about politics, but it seems that there's no time. I'm just a normal high school girl, and I do want to enjoy life along the way. I don't plan on returning for quite sometime and my dearest apologies to all who've read my blog and have been there since the beginning.

I'm now 15, my birthday was September 27. This is the week of my midterms, so right now I'm studying Driver's theory. I took extra writing classes such as Journalism and Creative Writing. I plan on continuing this site in the summer. I'm not totally abandoning it. Usually, I have nothing to do in the summer so why not spend time researching again :)

Thank you to all the readers. And I'm truely sorry for leaving you hanging.

[Phew] Well, I'm half back anyway. I'm at my grandparents house in the middle of nowhere so hopefully this gets through. I thought that I should just discuss what everyone else is discussing. Which would be Israel. And the starting of a war. Everyone knows what it's about and it's been on the media like crazy. What I want to know is what people think about it.

I think that Israel has every right to defend themselves. Period. There shouldn't even be a disagreement. If a terrorist came into America and killed our soldiers and kidnapped some, we wouldn't let them get away. Would we?

Plus if you look at the history, Israel has been put through a lot of crap. This was the last straw. Quite frankly, I'm proud of them for standing up for themselves. I had a better rant but, this internet is much to slow (DON'T EVER GET DIAL UP!!) and my relatives broke my thoughts right in the middle of this post.

So I'll say...This rant is to be continued until I have further information to help out my opinions.

I apologize for not posting soon. I just got out of school Tuesday and then there was all of the social activities to attend. The only thing I've gotten around to was buying a father's day present. I got my dad the book Godless by: Ann Coulter. I read a bit of her site:

I thought I'd put off that column on ethanol subsidies I'd been planning to
write this week and instead address the topic that has so riveted the nation —
the hot new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."

First of all, I'm getting a little fed up with people trying to make money
off my book. Worthless little cable TV shows with teeny-tiny audiences,
ridiculous legislators and tabloid newspapers are all trying to make a name for
themselves off the profundity of "Godless."

Second, let's pause for a moment to observe that two facts are now
universally accepted: Liberals are godless and Hillary's husband is a rapist.

My book makes a stark assertion: Liberalism is a godless religion. Hello!
Anyone there? I've leapt beyond calling you traitors and am now calling you
GODLESS. Apparently, everybody's cool with that. The fact that liberals are
godless is not even a controversial point anymore.

In addition to the consensus position that liberals are godless, no one has
made a peep about that swipe I took at Hillary, proposing that she have a chat
with her husband before accusing others of being "mean" to women in light of
Juanita Broaddrick's charge that Bill Clinton raped her. Hillary beat a hasty
retreat on her chubby little legs and is now hiding behind Rahm "Don't Touch My
Tutu" Emanuel.

Yes, the Democrats' pit bull, Rahm Emanuel, is a former ballerina. And they
wonder why the concerted effort of the MSM (as we call the mainstream media) and
the Democratic Party can't lay a finger on me. A ballerina. Hey, if the padded,
silky shoe fits ...

The establishment's current obsession with me is the MSM's last stand.
They've deployed the whole lineup of yesterday's power brokers against me, and
all they've accomplished is to make my book the No. 1 book in the country.

In other words, their efforts to defeat me have just created more people
like me. Now who's stuck in an unwinnable quagmire, losers? Take note,
conservatives: No American need ever fear the liberal establishment again. It's
all over but the sobbing. Back when there were only three TV stations and no
Internet, talk radio or Fox News, it used to be so easy for the MSM to destroy
reputations — Joe McCarthy, Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Robert Bork, Dan
Quayle, Oliver North, Clarence Thomas, Pat Buchanan, Newt Gingrich, Paula Jones
and Linda Tripp, to name a few of the MSM's prey. Liberals aren't having so much
fun now that the rabbit has the gun.

Last Wednesday, Brian Williams began the "NBC Nightly News" — currently
watched exclusively by old ladies in nursing homes — with a report on "civility"
in America, which has apparently been horribly despoiled by my book. Williams
complained that the "explosion in our media, our deafening national noise level
and our changing mores have made this a much different era in America than the
one our parents grew up in." Oh, the civility of having only three TV stations
back in our parents' day! It was even more civil in the Soviet Union where there
was only one TV station. In precisely five minutes on the Media Research
Center's Web site, I turned up some random examples of the sort of civility we
got from the MSM before the alternative media allowed conservatives to be heard,
too. These are all-new quotes I've never even seen before. There are about a
hundred more in my book "Slander."

— On Ronald Reagan: "I predict historians are going to be totally
baffled by how the American people fell in love with this man (Ronald Reagan)
and followed him the way we did."— CBS News White House reporter Lesley Stahl on
NBC's "Later With Bob Costas," Jan. 11, 1989

— On Pat Buchanan: "On the road I travel to the mall in Wheaton, Md., two

Nicholas Minucci, an Italian, is going to trial next month for attacking and murdering a black man with a baseball bat for stealing from him. He said he is "looking forward to going to trial because I'm gonna prove everybody wrong. I'm no racist. This is no hate crime."
What is his defense?
Hip-Hop.
He said that he used the word n_ _ _a, instead of n_ _ _ er. He also said "And all the CDs in the car here are hip-hop-50 Cent, Jay-Z, Biggie, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep. Every song, every track, and every album all you hear day & night is n_ _ _a this, and n_ _ _a that".

I believe he is currently doing time for murder, but if he wins this trial he will get a lesser sentence. I don't know if his defense will work, but he does make me think. African-Americans are the only group of people that use a derogatory name given to them during a time of demonic oppression to identify each other. We are the only group still carrying over 300 years of hate in our vocabulary. Why? I have heard all the defenses such as "as long as another black person says it then it is ok, if you put an A at the end instead of ER its ok, we are taking it away from the white people, we own the word now, it's a term of endearment, etc. I make it a point to keep it out of my vocabulary (I didn't always do this). African-Americans are continuing to get bamboozled every day. On cable television the network will bleep out the F word, but the N word will not be bleeped out. The F word is considered more offensive than the N word. Why don't Jewish people have to wage a debate to abolish derogatory terms that the Germans used against them? They have stripped those words from their vocabulary. They did not pass along the foolishness to their children. Why do we pass it along to ours?

Dissection Debate

I recently dissected a piglet in biology class. It really was a unique experience and I enjoyed every bit. But, I was sitting at lunch yesterday a friend of mine asked me, "Why shouldn't we dissect animals?" (Because she's writing a paper about it). I'm just going to write the conversation, it's hard for me to put it into paragraphs without it sounding like a story. (Yes yes, I know I'm a big nerd because I actually wrote the conversation down on a notebook).

#1: "Oh, yeah Kat, Why shouldn't we dissect animals?"
me: "You mean why should we dissect animals."
#1: "No, I mean ..could I say it's against my morals or something"
me: "How is it against your morals?"
#1: "Because your killing it"
me: "It's already dead!"

This is when another person enters the conversation and somehow relates it to abortion.

#2: "Your not respecting the dead when you dissect and they should take it out of school. I don't get you Kat, how can you think abortion is not okay and killing an innocent animal is"
me: "Why are you relating a human being to an animal? I eat animals! Doesn't everyone? They serve a purpose."
#2: "We are animals!"
me: "So you believe in that evolution crap and that we evolved from primates."
#2: "Where else?"
me: "I'm not even gonna touch that topic with you."

Then this is when my republican friend (under the pen name Silver) enters the convo.

#2: "They have programs for computers for these kind of things, where you use the mouse as tool and you can do dissections on the computer without killing anything"
#3: "I get what you're saying, but I'd have to say the same. I mean you breed these pigs just to kill them and dissect them. Don't you think that's kinda sick? Plus high school students don't take it seriously, they goof around. I say that dissections should be optional."
me: "Computers don't give you the experience. The ability to see the heart, lungs, stomach, how the body works. If you make it optional nobody's gonna do it. They won't even try! What if someone thinks they're not gonna like it, but try dissecting and learn to love it; become doctors and such. It's like a test for people too, they dissect to gain experience for even bigger dissections, like humans. Would you seriously let a doctor operate surgery on you if they had no experience?"
#2: "It's still wrong"
me: "You do eat meat right?"
#2: "That's different"
me: "How so?"
#2: "It just is"
#3: "I still think that they should just have it as a college course, we shouldn't be forced to do it"
me: "I'm forced to go to school everyday and wake up at 5 in the morning, but I don't complain. We test things on animals too, that's how we find cures for things. And we don't kill them, they're already dead."
#1: "You guys really aren't helping me"
me: "Why don't you write a paper about why dissections are important"
#1: "That's not the assignment"
me: "Your biology teacher assigned a paper...about why you shouldn't have dissections. Biology. Teacher. Well then I have no idea."

KHAWR AL AMAYA OIL TERMINAL, Iraq (NNS) -- The quick response of two USS Port Royal (CG 73) crew members saved the life of an Iraqi contract worker overcome by smoke inhalation while fighting a fire on Khawr Al Amaya oil terminal (KAAOT) May 26.

As part of the Commander, Task Group (CTG) 158.1 emergency response team, Chief Hospital Corpsman Doreen Lehner and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Heather Watts were the only medical personnel on the scene when an Iraqi Southern Oil Company worker collapsed due to smoke inhalation.

Injuries from smoke inhalation and the toxic by-products of combustion in fires account for 75 percent of fire-related deaths in the United States. Typically, the victim’s lungs fill up with mucus and fluid, making it difficult to breathe. Oxygen deficiency leads to further complications, including tissue hypoxia (stiffening of the extremities) and finally, loss of consciousness.

Lehner and Watts were on Port Royal’s rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) when Cmdr. Eric Phipps, CTG 158.1 deputy commander, received word that the Iraqi had collapsed on the north side of the platform. He immediately dispatched the two corpsmen to the scene.

“He was breathing, but struggling, when we got there,” explained Lehner. “Then he slipped out of consciousness. He had a very weak pulse, and he was posturing (the stiffening of the extremities associated with hypoxia). I knew we needed to give him an IV (intravenous feed).”

Lehner and Watts had to overcome the language barrier between them and the victim’s co-workers to convince them that he needed an IV.

“I knew he was probably dehydrated, but when I gave him the IV, he stopped breathing for two to three minutes,” Lehner said.

The independent duty trained corpsman then attempted to insert a breathing tube down his throat.

“He was unconsciously fighting the tube, but he hadn’t breathed in about two minutes,” she said. “I knew we were losing him.”

“His jaw was clenched tight and his tongue was blocking his airway,” related Watts, a native of Pharr, Texas. “It was pretty scary. I was just trying to stay focused and grab everything chief was asking for. His friends were on either side of him helping us, rubbing his arms and legs to help with circulation, and praying and encouraging him to breathe.”

Lehner said she was afraid to move the Iraqi in his weakened condition, even though the platform was being evacuated. Phipps, who was torn between concern for the safety of his Sailors and the well-being of the victim, stayed with Lehner and Watts throughout the ordeal.

“There was still a certain amount of risk on the platform, but it was obvious that he was badly injured,” Phipps said. “We had to make the decision to do whatever we could to help him and the other terminal workers.”

Lehner said in desperation, she tried to insert the oral airway again. This time, it provoked his gag reflex and stimulated him to gasp for air.

“It was like he came back to life,” said Lehner. “He quickly sat up and he gasped for air, then started coughing, and coughed out a lot of that fluid. I cleared his airway, got all the fluid out and utilized the bag-valve-mask to provide rescue breathing. Then we hurried him out of there.”

The Iraqi was transported via RHIB to nearby USS Ogden (LPD 5). He stopped breathing three times before they got to their destination and had to have the oral airway reinserted to prompt his reflexes again. The team then evacuated him via helicopter to USS Peleliu (LHA 5), which has a very capable medical facility aboard. He is currently in Basra and in good condition.

“This is the first time that I’ve saved somebody’s life,” said Watts. “And it’s a reward in itself, like you’re walking on air. It’s amazing.”

Port Royal, as part of Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 3, is deployed in support of maritime security operations (MSO) in the North Persian Gulf. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the North Persian Gulf and protect Iraq’s sea-based infrastructure to help provide the Iraqi people the opportunity for self-determination.

Did anyone watch Academy of Country Music Awards? I sure did, and it was awesome. I just thought that the greatest song ever was "Politically Uncorrect" by Gretchen Wilson was amazing. You can listen to the song ~>here<~. It's really a great song. Also, Rascal Flatts is another one of my favorite country bands. Really great people, and did you noticed when every one of these country singers won an award, they'd thank God. That's special and you rarely see that on television, so I was happy.

Gay "Rights" -- Who Is Harassing Whom?

I suppose it's a matter of one's perspective, but it sure seems to me that if there is any special interest group aggressively pushing its agenda on society, it's the radical homosexual lobby. I don't assert this as some earth-shattering revelation or to prove my superior powers of observation. But it is amazing how many people have swallowed the homosexual activists' propaganda that it is heterosexual conservatives who are picking on them rather than the other way around.

A month or so ago I wrote a column about the incredible story of a librarian at Ohio State University at Mansfield who was met with a sexual harassment claim from three professors for suggesting that a number of conservative books be included on a recommended reading list for incoming freshmen. Since then, in my routine daily scanning of the news, I have come across stories almost every other day -- without particularly looking for them -- involving controversy over homosexual-related issues. Could this be an accident?

From April 27 through May 11, I ran across the following headlines: "Anti-Homosexual Bullying 'Endemic' in Schools, Study Says," "Parents' Suit Challenges Gay-Themed Book," "Christian Students Considering Lawsuit Over Suspensions," "California's 'Gay History' Bill Advances," "Gays Fight Citizens in Court," "Gay Ice Skaters Settle Hand-holding Harassment Case" and "Supreme Court Lets Lesbian Partner Be 'De Facto Parent.'"

The first story reports that 64 percent of homosexual students "reported feeling unsafe at school because of their sexual orientation," according to the fourth biennial National School Climate Survey conducted by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Activists are reportedly lobbying state and federal legislators to pass laws forbidding "harassment" based on sexual orientation or gender expression. If indeed these statistics are accurate, why won't ordinary school policies against harassment apply? Some believe the survey, which is apparently based on subjective impressions, is a tool for homosexual activists to normalize their lifestyle and suppress the expression of those who disagree.

The next story reports that two Lexington, Mass., couples have filed a federal lawsuit against school officials because elementary school teachers were giving out and reading storybooks with gay themes without advance notification to parents. Where are the zealots who always demand a pristine wall of separation between church and state? Are the schools not endorsing values driven by a particular worldview? This story illustrates the significance of the ruling of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court that laws forbidding same-sex marriage are unconstitutional. Opponents say the ruling has emboldened Massachusetts gay rights advocates to push their agenda in schools and has chilled the rights of those with an opposing viewpoint.

The next item involves a group of 13 high school students in Roseville, Calif., who threatened to sue the school district for suspending them when they refused to remove shirts containing the message "Homosexuality is sin. Jesus can set you free." The students were counter-protesting GLSEN's "Day of Silence" project, which calls attention to anti-gay harassment. Whether or not you think the message is harsh, should its expression not be protected like all other speech?

The next story is nothing short of amazing. It reports that a committee of the California Senate has approved a bill requiring "gay history" to be included in public school textbooks. One provision of the bill would require all social studies textbooks to "study the role and contributions of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender with particular emphasis on portraying the role of these groups in contemporary society."

The next item tells of a judicial challenge by Massachusetts homosexual-rights activists to a proposed constitutional amendment to end same-sex "marriage." According to the Gay & Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD), the state constitution doesn't permit citizen-initiated amendments to reverse judicial rulings. Now that's a novel approach: A judicially created provision of the constitution is stronger than its original provisions and its legally adopted amendments. How could anyone present this argument with a straight face?

The next story reports that a company sued by a pair of gay skaters who claimed they were harassed for holding hands "has agreed to hold monthly gay-straight skate nights, to sign an anti-discrimination pledge and to contribute $5,000 to two gay groups." The company will also post placards saying it is promoting diversity and will require its workers to undergo sensitivity training.

In the final story we learn that the U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review a ruling of the Washington Supreme Court granting parental rights to a lesbian in a child custody suit. The U.S. Supreme Court probably declined, justifiably, because these issues are usually matters of state law. But as we can see, the relentless march goes on -- and not just in the state of California.

I fully agree with his views. First of all, there shouldn't be any textbooks or school related things about "sexual orientation". What the heck are they teaching us? They're trying to say that conservative/republicans are against them and everything, yet they accuse us of hating them. It should be illegal for them to adopt children, that's just going way too far. I could list reasons why...but maybe I'll save that for another post. I just really liked this article.

Duke Rape...or should I say lies

Alright well, we all know that something did happen to this lady. But, I don't like how these wacko liberals accuse 3 men just because she thinks they raped her. First of all, she's a stripper, she was DRUNK, and she said that the man had a mustache. The guy has pictures to prove that he never had a mustache. (Or I've heard from Sean Hannity's radio show). Besides the sources of semen was from her boyfriend's DNA. Can't people see that? Can't anyone see that?

One network has exclusive photos of the accuser, released to show her supposedly smiling, except her face is covered to protect her "privacy", (an absurd notion at this point), not to mention a total contradiction of the justification for releasing the picture in the first instance.

If this woman is lying, she will not only be humiliated publicly but could be prosecuted criminally. Her life will be ruined. It would be far far easier to admit you were drunk.

It's getting out of control. Personally, I think she is lying. How can someone possibly remember if they were drunk in the first place. Plus, all the evidence doesn't add up. She's gonna get into real deep crap if she keeps this up.

BTW: I did watch President Bush's immigration speech yesterday, I was indeed very disappointedted. I decided not to blog about it because everybody else was writing about it. Why repeat the same thing over and over?

I finally got my savings bond for the Political Science Symposium. I had to be put into a group of five people from different schools. The assignment was to create our own form of the government. We argued a lot, mostly because I was the only conservative over-ruled by four left wing nuts. They were all older then me too, but I guess most younger teens aren't into politics. Anyway, we came to final agreements. Apparently our presentation was the best and we all got awarded $50 in our savings bond.

Our teacher was discussing the whole immigrant issue, which was extremely bias and in a different point of view. She knew illegal immigrants and interviewed them, she read her interviews outloud to the class. There was a great deal of compassionate stories of these illegal immigrants with troubles and such, but she didn't give the moral point of view. A typical aspect on a liberals point of view. Made me kind of angry so in between her words, A classmate and myself would give out sly remarks. In which she ignored anyway, but atleast I hope the students understood what I was trying to point out.

Immigration: A large group of House Republicans have called for ballots to be
printed only in English. It would send a much-needed message to every immigrant. Last week, speaking at the White House's Cinco de Mayo celebration,
President Bush noted that "America has thrived as a nation because we've always
welcomed newcomers, who in turn embrace our values and our way of life."
He quickly added, "Those who come here to start new lives in our country have a responsibility to understand what America is about and the responsibility to learn the English language so they can better nderstand our national character and participate fully in American life."
This week, Steve King, R-Iowa, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, will propose that the panel let the language assistance provision of the 1965 Voting Rights Act expire. That law was amended in 1975 to require some areas to provide bilingual ballots.
In a letter to Chairman James Sensenbrenner, King and 55 other House Republicans
complained that the law's multilingual provisions "encourage the linguistic division of our nation and contradict the 'melting pot' ideal that has made us the most successful multiethnic nation on earth." Non-English ballots, they said, are "a serious affront to generations of immigrants past and present that have made great sacrifices to learn English."
King's letter also showed how multilingual balloting can undermine the election process. This happened at six voting sites in Queens, N.Y., in 2000, when several thousand voters used Chinese ballots that actually had the names of the political parties reversed.
King cites two General Accounting Office studies showing that in many cases the
bilingual ballots are hardly used, yet hundreds of counties are required to
waste millions in local taxpayer dollars to have such materials available on
Election Day. Los Angeles County alone had to spend over $2 million in the 2004
election providing ballots in seven languages.
King and his colleagues say multilingual ballots "divide our country, increase the risk of voter error and fraud, and burden local taxpayers." King is sponsor of the English Language Unity Act, which would make English the official language of the U.S., an idea polls show has strong support among immigrants themselves.
The American motto "E Pluribus Unum" Â "out of many, one" Â is the perfect maxim for immigrants who find success and happiness in the Land of Opportunity. But while the "Pluribus" refers to ethnicity, creed and places of origin, the "Unum"
always has and always must reflect our common American culture and nationality.
"We have but one flag," Theodore Roosevelt once said. "We must also learn one language, and that language is English."

I apologize for not writing about this article, but I loved it so I thought I'd put it out here. Lately, my teachers have been drilling all of the students. Personally, I think they're struggling to get all of the curriculum finished before the end of the year. Only a month more of school!

headlines for burying the hatchet with political foe Jerry Falwell and agreeing
to speak at the reverend's Liberty University. But that doesn't mean the Arizona
senator is Falwell's guy in 2008. In fact, he sounds more like a Sen. George
Allen fan. Just consider whom he wants to speak at the 2008 commencement.
"Everyone asks if I support John McCain. Well, we agree on some things and not
on others," Falwell tells us. "I am glad he is coming to speak. I hope to have
President Bush speak next year and George Allen speak the year after that." In
other commencement news, former President Bush is in another first: He and
former first lady Barbara will give the May 21 address to George Washington
University grads. The weekend before, Bush and former President Clinton will be

I've been pondering on a question for some time, and thought I'd ask my History teacher about it. She seems pretty neutral, on the political issues. Which makes me happy. because thats how teachers are supposed to me. Anyway, I asked "Why isn't there a Civics class in High school? Isn't it important to know about your government?" and she just replied, "That's a really good question." We continued this interesting conversation and came to the conclusion of me writing a letter to the Principal. Explaining why I think school education should have Civics as a mandatory course. I know I'm moving this summer and I won't be able to attend this school anyway, but I think that I should help this place out a bit before I leave. That maybe I could open a few of these teenager's eyes, because a majority of them have no idea what America's going through. Plus these are the people that are going to be voting for our next election, I think they have a right to understand how our government works and the different partys and such. So does anyone have any suggestions I could put out?

SAN DIEGO Â After a 17-year legal battle between the
city and a self-described atheist, a judge has ordered San Diego officials to
remove a giant cross from a hilltop park.
The 29-foot-high cross was
dedicated as a memorial to Korean War veterans in 1954 on a hilltop that towers over
seaside La Jolla.
Philip Paulson, an atheist and Vietnam veteran, has been
challenging its placement on city-owned parkland since 1989. He declined comment
on the ruling Wednesday, but his attorney, James McElroy, said he hoped city
officials would finally back down.
U.S. District Judge Gordon Thompson Jr.
gave the city 90 days to comply with a 1991 injunction forbidding the cross on
public property or start paying $5,000 a day in fines.
"It is now time, and
perhaps long overdue," the judge wrote.
Defying the order is something
cash-strapped San Diego can ill afford. Its pension fund is more than $1 billion
in debt, the federal government is investigating, and there has been talk of
bankruptcy.
Still, Mayor Jerry Sanders said he would ask the city attorney to
appeal.

The city has tried to sell the half-acre beneath the cross to a
nonprofit association that maintains the surrounding memorial walls. But federal
judges have repeatedly blocked the sale, saying the transactions were designed
to favor a buyer who would keep the cross in place. The U.S. Supreme Court
refused to hear the city's appeal in 2003.
A city-sponsored referendum asking
permission from residents to sell the property failed in 2004. The next year, 75
percent of the voters approved a referendum to transfer the land to the federal
government, but a Superior Court judge ruled that measure to be an
"unconstitutional aid to religion." The ruling has been appealed.

would have occurred if the jury had given Moussaoui the death penalty. The
French government would have given this much more visibility even today had that
occurred, and it would have continued for years until we executed the supposedly
mentally ill terrorist. As it is, if the French want to confirm American opinion
of their nation, then they should by all means pursue this diplomatic effort. It
will give us plenty of opportunity to remind the Chirac government of its lack
of fidelity in its pledge to support us if we went back to the Security Council
just once more on Iraq. We can also talk about all of the bilateral efforts
between Paris and Baghdad that undermined the sanctions regime, sent military
arms to Saddam Hussein, and paid bribes and kickbacks to the Ba'athist regime
that Oil-For-Food specifically sought to sideline.
If the French get their
hands on Moussaoui, we will only wake up a few years later to French
pronouncements of miracle cures and rehabilitation, and watch the video of the
AQ terrorist gleefully leaving the French prison over the protests of the
American government. We do not wish to rely on French tenacity in the war on
terror; we learned that lesson a long time ago. Let the French try to invoke
whatever treaties they want to request Moussaoui's extradition, and let them
stomp their feet when we tell them to pound sand.

I understand that there are some extremely racist people out there, but some use their color for advantage. I lived in Hawaii for quite sometime and the kids used to call me Haole. They would call all white people Haole. When we were trying to buy a house on the island, the classifieds said you had to be hawaiian to buy a certain house. People said that it wasn't being racist it was expressing their "culture". A majority of the racial problems involve blacks.

They use the same excuse, "You just ______, because I'm black." Didn't Martin Luther fix this whole situation? Now some blacks use it to their advantage.

I just want to let EVERYONE know. Martin Luther King Jr. wanted peace between everyone, not just whites against blacks, but blacks against whites as well.

I may have went a little off topic, but you get the point.

Listen..with the whole situation about Mexican's trying to change our Nation's Anthem, it's just wrong. PERIOD. There's nothing more to say, our country's anthem has been a part of history since the beginning. What makes these Mexican's think they can change it? It's ENGLISH for a REASON.

WE ARE NOT MEXICANS! We are American's, our language is english. It will stay that way, and immigrants from other countries (ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS for that matter) have no right to change anything. They are not Americans. They didn't work hard to become citizens, and quite frankly, I don't think they even care.

In response to the "Nuestro Himno" illegal alien anthem nonsense, I thought it
would be nice to celebrate the history of our national anthem--instead of

My dad was watching this show called Nanny 911, we were talking this morning about it, and related it to liberals. The show showed the parents trying to discipline their kids. Then the kids would reply, "No! No! Your wrong, your a loser, no!" We related this to the liberals that don't always get their way, then blaming and insulting everyone else.

What the Nanny did was put the kids in a naughty chair for a time-out. And she said, "No, you don't do bad things like that, and your going to start listening" Basically, the Nanny took the control and power away from the kids, so that they couldn't argue.

My dad and I were saying:
Well, we need to get some of these liberals and put them in the naughty chair. Maybe that can straighten them out. Kind of sad that we have to compare democrats to children, but that's really what they act like.

I read in this Article and I just got very disappointed. I just, I'm totally against his whole view of immigration.

"I know this is an emotional debate," Bush told the Orange County Business
Council. "But one thing we can't lose site of is that we are talking about human
beings, decent human beings."

I know they are human beings, but you are getting way off the topic. They entered our country without permission, it's not like they're helping our country in any way. Well, as most of my friends know...I have 2 best friends that are gay. Or suposably gay, I don't think they even know who they are. They know I oppose the whole gay marriage and gay adoption thing. But my dad found yet abother article from David Limbaugh:

You have to be naive not to recognize that the radical homosexual lobby is
pushing its lifestyle on American society and using intimidation tactics, such
as we see here, to compel society's acceptance of homosexual behavior as
mainstream or normal. They say they just want to live and let live, but many of
them want far more than that. They want to live free of harassment themselves,
which I'm all for, but it doesn't appear they want to accord similar respect to
those not sharing their views.

I don't think that's a real apology for beating on someone. She basically just said I'm sorry for this problem and how it got out of control. She never apologized to the policeman she punched at. Assault is Assault and regular people that do that, go to jail.

country illegally, mostly from Mexico. Many people, including my libertarian
friends and associates, advance an argument that differs little from saying that
people anywhere in the world have a right to live in the United States
irrespective of our laws or preferences.
According to that vision, American people do not have a right to set either the number of people who enter our country or the conditions upon which they enter. Some of the arguments and terms used in the immigration debate defy reason. First, there's the refusal to call these people "illegal aliens." The politically preferred term is "undocumented workers," which is nothing less than verbal sleight-of-hand. After all, I, too, am an undocumented worker.
My colleague, Thomas Sowell, exposes some of this verbal sleight-of-hand in his recent column "Guests or Gate-Crashers?" He questions calling for "guest worker" status for people who, because they weren't invited, are not guests at all but gate-crashers. Sowell argues that the more substantive arguments for flaunting our immigration laws are just as phony.
How about the argument that "We can't catch all the illegals"?
That's true, but should we apply that principle to other illegal acts? For
example, we can't catch every rapist or burglar, but does it follow that we shouldn't try?
The base motives for much of the political response to illegal aliens are fear of losing the Hispanic vote and pressure by employers who want to maintain a source of cheap labor. Politicians are calling for "guest worker" programs, but they're really calling for amnesty. They are fearful of actually using that term because they know it's political suicide, but the "guest worker" proposal is essentially the same as amnesty.
The word amnesty comes from the Greek "amnestia," defined in part as: "the selective overlooking or ignoring of those events or acts that are not favorable or useful to one's purpose or position." That's what the proposed guest worker program essentially says: forget that you're here illegally.
In principle, the solution to people being in our country illegally is simple. No one in the country illegally should be eligible to receive any social services except emergency medical services. Efforts should be made to deport illegal aliens. Our borders should be made secure both against illegal entry of persons and potential threats to national security.
Finally, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services procedures for obtaining work permits and citizenship should be streamlined so that law-abiding people around the world can more easily contribute to and enjoy America's greatness.

My father sent this article to me that I thought was quite amusing.

A news station was actually suprised that Sean Hannity suports Bush. The reason why I find this amusing, is because...Liberals don't take in anything. Absolutely nothing. Sean goes against democrats who question our country; he even defends Bush at times. What makes liberals think he doesn't support President Bush? There are, in fact, a few disagreements between Hannity and Bush. But, no man is perfect. People make mistakes. It get's me aggravated how people bash President Bush for his little mistakes, but when Clinton was president...no one seemed to disagree with his bizarre ideals. Hmm...I wonder why...[sarcasm]

I've been hearing a lot about the ACLU organization, and to put it in an unintelligent way, I think that they are complete idiots.

Here's what stop the ACLU partly had to say:

constitutionally protected. Therefore, there is no constitutional impediment to
the regulation of firearms.

Here's the Bill of Rights for those lacking in education. Another article I read [and fully agree with] from Heather Mac Donald:

The ACLU's diatribe against terrorist watch lists comes as it is caught out
in rank hypocrisy and deceit. This self-described fighter for freedom has been
misappropriating hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in federal money,

program. To participate in the program, a charity must certify that it does not
employ or fund suspected terrorists included on government watch lists. (The
necessity for this precaution was demonstrated just last week by the arrests of
executives from the Holy Land Foundation, a Virginia-based Muslim charity, for

The ACLU
eagerly signed the pledge (we will leave aside the ludicrous designation of the
ACLU as a "charity") and opened up the federal money spigot. But it turns out

totalitarianism in disguise. But doesn't it contain extremely dangerous people,

the terror watch lists. Federal law merely prohibits "knowingly" employing or
funding terrorists, explained this sophist. So long as the organization
carefully avoided actually looking at the government's terror watch list, it
could go right on funding whomever it pleased and still be in compliance with
federal requirements.This argument is nonsense. The point of the
terror-watch-list requirement is not to guarantee that recipients of federal
payroll deductions remain chastely ignorant of the identities of terror
suspects, or worse, that they can plausibly deny knowing that they fund
terrorists. The purpose of the watch list requirement is to ensure that money
doesn't actually flow into terrorism, knowingly or not. The idea that the
antiterrorism requirement would be satisfied if a charity poured money into an
al Qaeda front, as long as the charity was able to say it didn't know it was
funding terrorism, is ludicrous.

Such fantasies make for great fundraising pitches. The ACLU has been raking
in the dough — and not just from payroll deductions — since 9/11. But the Left's
blindness to the reality of foreign enemies should utterly disqualify it from
government influence. That is not the case. Civil libertarians and privacy
advocates exercise veto power over government research in the crucial fields of
data mining and computer technology. The Department of Homeland Security
recently cancelled a program to screen airline passengers for terrorist
connections because privacy advocates objected. The next time a public official
feels inclined to listen to a rights lobbyist, he should administer a simple
sanity test: Do you believe that terrorism exists?

Yes, our President Bush, I've been on his side for many different issues, but this one I can't seem to understand. Which would be the immigration issue. I think he totally blew that decision.

Here's part of his speech:

America by taking hard jobs and clocking long hours in important industries.

on active duty in the United States military. One of them is Master Gunnery
Sergeant Guadalupe Denogean, an immigrant from Mexico who has served in the
Marine Corps for 25 years and counting. Last year, I was honored and proud to
witness Sergeant Denogean take the oath of citizenship in a hospital where he
was recovering from wounds he received in Iraq. I'm honored to be his
Commander-in-Chief, I'm proud to call him a fellow American. "

I think that he's in the right direction, but taking in the wrong text. Immigrants do indeed help us, but not all of them. Thing is, they aren't Americans. They are not citizens and they shouldn't be excepted as a citizen without going through our law system. Just think about the people that came here legally. You're basically giving citizenship to those illegal aliens. They are trying to take over our Country!!

"We are people of dignity, and we demand respect," Mr. Gutierrez said at the
rally. "This is the beginning of a movement that is going to call for a national
work stoppage." Another ANSWER member who spoke at the
rally, Gloria La Riva said: "The racist politicians thought they could step on

Illegal immigration has been going crazy!

My views on illegal immigration aren't that pleasant. It's not right and I think we should kick the illegals out and create a better system to become a citizen. One that is less time consuming. The reason why I chose this specific topic for our first discussion, is because I'm currently working on a research paper about it. I've read Michelle Malkin's blog about immigration; quite frankly, I completely agree with her.

People are letting illegal immigrants get away with everything; being too lenient. First of all, the people are coming here ILLEGALLY into our country. Isn't that a big issue? Shouldn't we do something to stop it? There have been hispanic riots and they burn/disrespect our flag. This is our country, if they don't abide by the laws then they don't deserve to be here.

Illegal immigrants take jobs under the table, while paying no taxes. They make out pretty good, economy-wise. They also over-populate America; they are trying to take control. Basically, half of Calafornia is made up of hispanic illegal aliens.

My mom was an immigrant from China. When she was young, she had to go through 7 years just to become a citizen. Illegal immigrants come over here in a matter of days. Does that make it fair? Another thing is, how can we be angry with the legal aliens that went through the law in the first place.

The entered our country, learned our language, worked hard. Don't compare them to illegal idiots rebeling on the streets. I recently had a political science symposium. In which I knew a junior, who happened to be in my group from another school. She explained to me that her father was an illegal immigrant and that she wasn't rich. (Before you get confused, we were debating about whether or not there should be private schools). I asked her why he still is an illegal immigrant and she replied, "because it takes too long to become a citizen." Need I remind you they create fake documents? How can people actually think this is right? Entering our country without permission.

I really don't understand these people. Do they think they're the only people on the earth? Other immigrants have to go through this hard process too, what makes them so special that they don't have to go through the same thing?

I think we should do what George Allen suggested:

1) Secure Border.
2) Shorten the process of becoming a citizen.
3) Kick all of the Illegal Aliens out.
